    The Polish Television Theater Festival will begin in October 2018. The opening gala of the Festival will take place on October 22 at the Polish Consulate General in New York.

    The gala will feature a screening of a performance of  Inspection (Inspekcja),  directed by Jacek Raginis-Królikiewicz, who will be present in person.

    The Festival of Polish Television Theater will take place from October 14 to November 15, 2018. Screenings will take place in some of New York’s most important Polish-American institutions, including The Polish Slavic Center and the Piłsudski Institute, both in Brooklyn. All with the screenings will feature English subtitles. The festival has been curated in cooperation with Polish Television (TVP)’s Television Production Agency.

    In addition to Inspection, which presents a shocking picture of the months leading up to the Katyń massacre, the festival will include screenings of other performances: Mr. Jowialski, (dir. Artur Żmijewski), Fryderyk, (dir. Agnieszka Lipiec-Wróblewska), Our God's Brother, or Totus Tuus (dir. Paweł Woldan), The Marshal (dir. Krzystof Lang), and Polish Lessons (dir. Mariusz Malec). The festival will also present comedies such as The Tischner Variations (dir. Arthur Wiecka) and the musicals Rio (dir. Redbad Klynstra–Komarnicki) and To the Bottom (dir. Ewa Kaim).

    The festival is taking place under the patronage of Stanisław Karczewski, the Speaker of the Polish Senate and the Honorary Patronage of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York.
